Terms and Conditions for Skip Hire at Coney Hall
Welcome to Skip Hire Coney Hall. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before hiring a skip from us. By proceeding with a skip hire, you agree to be bound by the following terms.
1. Eligibility
To hire a skip from Skip Hire Coney Hall, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
- Possess the authority to hire on behalf of the requesting party.
2. Booking and Payment
All bookings must be made in advance through our official channels. Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your skip. We accept various payment methods, including:

- Electronic Payment Systems
Deposits may be required for certain skip sizes. Cancellation policies apply and are detailed in your booking confirmation. Please review them thoroughly.
2.1. Deposits
A non-refundable deposit may be required to confirm your booking. The amount depends on the size of the skip and the duration of hire.
2.2. Cancellation
Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery will incur no charge. Cancellations within 48 hours may result in a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the total hire cost.
3. Delivery and Collection
We strive to deliver and collect skips at the agreed-upon times. Any delays will be communicated promptly.
- Delivery: Skips will be delivered to the specified location on the agreed date and time.
- Collection: Skips will be collected once the hire period has ended or upon your request.
Please ensure that the drop-off location is accessible and safe for placement and collection of the skip.
4. Use of the Skip
The skip provided must be used solely for the disposal of permitted waste. Misuse of the skip may result in additional charges or termination of the hire agreement.
4.1. Permitted Waste
- Household waste
- Garden waste
- Construction debris
- Recyclable materials
4.2. Prohibited Waste
- Hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos, chemicals)
- Electronics
- Medical waste
- Furniture beyond a specified size
Any prohibited waste discovered will be removed at your expense, and you may be held liable for additional costs.
5. Weight Limits and Overloading
Each skip has a maximum weight capacity specified at the time of hire. Exceeding this limit may result in:
- Additional charges based on the excess weight.
- Refusal of collection until the skip is appropriately emptied.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the waste does not exceed the skip's capacity.
6. Responsibility and Liability
Skip Hire Coney Hall is not responsible for:
- Damage to property or vehicles during placement and collection.
- Loss of personal belongings.
- Injuries sustained during waste disposal.
You are advised to remove any valuable or irreplaceable items before filling the skip.
7. Insurance
While we carry basic liability insurance, we recommend that you obtain comprehensive insurance to cover any unforeseen incidents related to the skip hire.
8. Health and Safety
Both parties must adhere to health and safety regulations. You must ensure that the skip does not pose a hazard to public safety or the structural integrity of your property.
- Avoid placing the skip on uneven or unstable ground.
- Ensure the skip is securely fastened to prevent movement.
- Do not overload the skip beyond its capacity.
9. Termination of Service
We reserve the right to terminate the hire agreement if you breach any of these terms and conditions. In such cases, fees for services rendered up to the point of termination will still apply.
10. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Skip Hire Coney Hall operates. Any disputes arising from this agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts.
11. Amendments to Terms
Skip Hire Coney Hall reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you prior to the commencement of your hire agreement.
